by Blue Stockings | The Caucus:
Ms. Palin directed most of her media criticism at liberal bloggers, whom she twice called, “those bloggers in their parents’ basement just talkin’ garbage.”
After reeling off a list the credentials of liberalism's most formidable, Hamsher asks:
How would Sarah feel if someone called her an ignorant, freeloading bubble headed piece of trailer park trash whose daddy told the AP she spent the weekend scrambling to return her stolen clothes to the RNC?
How quickly Palin forgets who brought her to the nation's attention. It was a conservative blogger who lived in his parents' basement.
University of Colorado-Colorado Springs student and right wing blogger Adam Brickley was given credit for being the first to envision Palin as a Republican vice-presidential candidate via his website: http://www.palinforvp.blogspot.com/.
Sarah and Todd Palin personally called to thank Brickley after she was selected as McCain's running mate...Considering the right wing blogs' minimal influence on the 2008 election and fixation on crazy conspiracy theories..., Brickley's VP Palin accomplishment might be the lone bright spot produced from a conservative blogger.
If Brickley can get over working for a person that slams his blogging credentials and living situation, he would be a good hire for Palin's 2012 presidential run. (Blue Tidal Wave)
Yes, please!
Besides, as Wonkette points out:
Twice she has said this thing without anyone reminding her that Alaska is America’s basement, with a dusty old tanning bed and a Treadmill or whatever, and Wasilla is like the crawlspace in that basement, filled with asbestos, middle school report cards and and some meth, from the 90s.
