You'd rather take the gain that all Americans will be insured as a major victory, Billy Half-Loaf? Thing is, Bammy and Reidy-Losi been tellin' me that there's 46 million uninsured Americans. And the Congressional Budget Office tells me that the sight-unseen Reid bill will insure 30 million more Americans, albeit at the imposition of new taxes and fees and reductions in government spending, particularly on Medicare.

So you want the Washington idiots to screw with everybody's health insurance, and cut Medicare so that you can still leave about 5% of Americans uninsured? And the mandated coverage means they'll put you in jail if you refuse to buy government-approved insurance? And there's a Nebraska-only special-Federal-money-for-Medicare deal? Only for Nebraska?!? And not for any of the other states!?! Only for Nebraska???

Howard Dean hates this bill; maybe he's not quite the fool I thought he was. You, on the other hand, apparently are.

And it don't matter, anyways. Bammy ain't gonna sign nothin' without no public option. He done said so hisself.

"Any plan I sign must include an insurance exchange: a one-stop shopping marketplace where you can compare the benefits, cost and track records of a variety of plans - including a public option to increase competition and keep insurance companies honest - and choose what's best for your family." Bammy, July 2009
