by Deb Cupples | A Washington Independent reporter asked ex-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales whether he would participate in a "truth commission," which Sen. Patrick Leahy proposed as a way to investigate possible law-breaking by the Bush Administration. Mr. Gonzales' answer:
Always? Every time? What about back in April 2007? While testifying before the Senate Judiciary committee in April 2007 about alleged Justice Department politicization, Mr. Gonzales answered questions with "I don't recall" (or a synonymous phrase) more than 60 times.
That hardly seems "cooperative."
