by Deb Cupples | The New York Times reports that Israeli forces started a ground attack in Gaza, sending in tanks and troops last night. Haaretz.com reports that 28 Israeli soldiers have been wounded so far.
Also yesterday, masses of Palestinians mourned losses resulting from the Israeli bombings and reportedly vowed revenge. The Daily Mail reports:
"The bodies of a senior Hamas leader's small children were today ghoulishly paraded through the streets of Gaza as the group pledged to avenge their deaths."
"Nizar Rayan, his four wives and 10 of his children were all killed by in an Israeli air strike on his home after he ignored warnings they should go into hiding.
"In grisly scenes, mourners held up the bloodied bodies of the children to the cameras in a clear attempt to blacken Israel's name and highlight its brutality.
"Graphic images showed the young children's uncovered faces as the victims were carried by thousands of angry Hamas supporters during the funeral procession."

The worst thing is that dead kids are usually very good pretense to kill some more...If they want to be real warriors, they should make lines somewhere in the fields and fight together till last man standing...

"Isreal" or "isfake", this dead-kid parade? The Pali's aren't above staging deaths or forging images. Little Mohammed al Dura's death footage was stage-faked, and a video (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=3b3_1230864719) of an accidental munitions truck explosion at a Palestinian rally in September 2005 has been all over the liberalnet as depicting an Israeli attack on Gaza on January 3, 2009.
