Bombs in Baghdad Kill 10

by Deb Cupples |   For quite some time now, President Bush has been emphatically telling us that we're winning the so-called "War on Terrorism." 

Yesterday, Agence France Presse reported on yet another two in a long string of bombings in Iraq:

"At least nine people were killed and dozens wounded when a car bomb exploded in the centre of Baghdad on Wednesday as British Prime Minister Gordon Brown was visiting, the US military said.

"Seven civilians were among the dead and 25 among the 43 wounded, the Americans said.

"And a bomb blast late Wednesday targeting a US patrol in Suleikh, a northern district of the capital, killed a 13-year-old child and wounded three other people, an Iraqi army officer said." (AFP)

Two days ago, French police found dynamite in an upscale Paris department store after a group called the Afghan Revolutionary Front warned French media about the dynamite.  The group reportedly demanded the withdrawal of French troops from Afghanistan by February.
