by Nicholas | To his credit, John McCain has been seen trying to calm his supporters down as they shriek out their hatred of Obama (“He’s an Arab!” “He’s a terrorist!” etc. Where do these people come from?) it doesn’t seem that he is completely successful, to judge from the fact that he was booed by his own supporters for calling Obama a decent, family man. But kudos to him for trying. It’s just that once you start the fear train a-rolling (and his campaign did just that) it’s hard to put the brakes on.
Matters are not helped by his running mate, the winking harpy, who just yesterday accused Obama of being radical on the subject of abortion.
"He hopes that you won't notice how radical, absolutely radical his idea is on this, and his record is, until it's too late." she said. When she means radical, she means not opposed to Roe v. Wade. For some reason, “radical,” which means extreme, does not apply to her own view, which is that if a 12 year old girl is raped by her own father, for example, then she will have no choice whatever but to carry the baby to term. Oh, and don’t forget that back in good ol’ Pisshola, Alaska, or wherever it was, women who alleged rape had to pay for their own rape kits when they were medically examined. If their insurance didn’t cover it, the women had to pay it themselves. So, in effect, poor, uninsured women were fined $1000 by the municipal government for being raped. Palin said she didn’t know that the local police chief was enforcing this policy, but when you consider that the population of the town could practically all fit into a couple of phone booths, you have to wonder if you believe that. Would she lie?
Maybe I am being too unkind to this abominable woman. In the interests of fair play, I offer you this alternative view on how we should all treat her.
