by WMD | If you think about it, the coordination required by each state party
for its delegation with the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) is an immense undertaking. Each state party needs to coordinate on behalf of its delegation with the DNCC and the convention officials in Denver.
I've been impressed with how well the Florida Democratic Party (FDP) has coordinated with our state delegation through informational emails and state-wide conference calls. In addition, the Obama campaign has its own staff who are in contact with us each week via email and conference calls.
The convention itself is more than just a big noisy rah-rah political pep rally- although I do expect a lot of that. During the last couple of weeks leading up to the start of this convention we're learning about all the other meetings, seminars, luncheons, networking opportunities and, yes, social events open to convention delegates. Finding the time to fit some of them in during a busy convention week and choosing which to attend is almost half the fun...
This blog is marvelous! For those of us who want to experience the Democratic Convention vicariously we can combine C-Span coverage with this blog and get the real flavor of this historic event.
