On a Limb with Claudia

Wow... now that's a real treat. Thank you for sharing these. Some of them I remember - and I do love Rubens. Gosh... I wish that our museum was better.

Happy TT - and thanks again!

Absolutely beautiful photos of beautiful artwork. Thank you for bringing this bit of culture to our Thursday. I've never been to NYC - doubt that I will ever go. If the opportunity ever arises I will definitely go to the Met!

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Looks like you had quite the time at the Met. I've seen that Empire State plaque as well. I don't think I've seen the Bosch there, so I'll be sure to look for it next time. And the last one, quite gruesome!!

HEYA! I just saw that you are an Aquarian AND you turned 43. Me too! When's your b-day?

Nice to be in such fine company!

I saw *pictures from my New York trip* and was thinking I'd see buildings. What a pleasant surprise. :)

Great shots! Happy TT:)

More pictures please! :)

I know it wasn't officially part of your 13, but that plaque from the Empire State building is gorgeous!

This was a real treat...your post title suggested to me that you'd be posting pics of NYC tourist hot-spots, but I was so pleasantly surprised!
I love #9 especially...I'm glad that now I'm older, I can sit and absorb and appreciate art like this. Fabulous!
My TT is up too now.

Bosch Rocks!!! Damn, that is a great list. I will spend 15 minutes here, basking. Thanks.

I enjoyed your photos … and now I’m thinking I need to get myself out to a local museum soon since I’ve not done that for a while. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs and blessings,

I love your photos!

gulp, John!

Beautiful photos of beautiful art! Nice job on this TT. :-D

LOL, I love the comment by Sandy Carlson. Our view of what is beautiful is determined by the fashion of the age.

Great TT, gorgeous art. Inspires me to get to the Museum of Fine Art in Boston again soon. Never can appreciate everything in one or two trips.

Beautiful artwork. Don't you feel blessed to have seen them? Happy TT.

My grandmother had a copy of the Solario in a coffee table book. It gave me nightmares as a child.

The Two Sisters is just beautiful. I always find myself drawn to the sumptuousness of the fabrics more than the subjects themselves, it just blows me away that they can paint something so incredibly tactile that you'd swear you could reach out and touch silk or brocade.

Nice TT. I loved #'s 2, 4 & 9
