Based on White House data, the House Oversight Committee estimates that various White House offices' emails were not stored for 473 days during 2003-2005. A few days ago, White House Spokesperson Tony Fratto told the press: "'we have absolutely no reason to believe that any e-mails are missing.'"
No reason at all? Not even special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald's 2006 suggestion that White House emails were missing in 2003 -- the year that a staffer blew the cover of ex-CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson?
Given all the confusion, Oversight Committee Chairman Henry Waxman decided to hold a hearing, scheduled for February 15.Mark your calendar: CSPAN may broadcast it.
