Today, it seems appropriate to remember some wise (and oft forgotten) Christian teachings.
"He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise." (Luke 3:11)
Most of us are only a few paychecks (or a catastrophic medical crisis) away from poverty.
"Judge not, that ye be not judged." (Matthew 7:1)
We can disagree with others -- and even say that we disagree -- yet still refrain from judging those people.
"If a man say, I love god, and hateth his brother, he is a liar...." (I John 4:20)
Christianity does not condone hatred, but it's not enough to merely not hate others:
"Let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God." (I John 4:7)
