They have to make a law about this now? Under what circumstances would it be okay to ask for the signing bonus back from some guy who can't serve because he lost a leg? Who thought that up in the first place?

Marilyn, I agree with you. I'm not sure who thought it up. I did read that the President (via a commission) looked into it last July -- yet hasn't changed the policy. It would be easy enough to change had he lobbied Congress, because no Congressmen who wants to be re-elected would ever oppose such a bill.
