Posted by Damozel | Bob Somerby at The Daily Howler skewers The Washington Post for its coverage of certain issues of interest to liberals and moderates who continue to hold the paper in affectionate esteem. Among many other things, Somerby attacks its perpetuation of the "Gore's film based on flawed science (according to one British judge)" meme that has given joy and comfort to so many of Gore's embittered critics. He also discusses a rather astonishing---when you see the underlying quote---paraphrase of Hillary Clinton's remarks on torture.
I recommend this post to liberal media watchers. It is fraught with interest (and not limited to WaPo)....
