posted by Damozel | Where else in the U.S. but on The Daily Show would you see this interview? Jon discusses with Evo Morales his amazing story of a poor farmer who became Bolivia's first indigenous president. Comparing the situation to the U.S., Jon concedes that U.S. elections are "a little rigged...." The two discuss the views of one of this century's successful reformers. Evo Morales asks not to be considered part of the "axis of evil...."
Did you ever see The Daily Show when it started back in 1997? With Craig K as host? It was terrible. My husband and I watched and found it dull, uninspired, and boring. The fact it remained on the air was weird enough. That it has evolved (thanks, I think, in large part to Jon Stewart) into a fantastic, vital program with such amazing interviews is a constant source of amusement.
