I was born and educated in London, transplanted to Florida in 2001. As a young man I wanted to enter parliament and maybe become Prime Minster, though that ship sailed long ago.
Politically I am hard to pin down. I used to support the Conservative Party in Britain, in a very freelance manner, and these days my sympathies lie more with the UK Independence Party. Over here I find that conservatism is a whole different beast, and I am drawn to liberalism, free thinking, atheism, a welfare state, and am convinced that there is no such thing as a real American
left winger. 
I loathe bigotry, cruelty, prudes, puritans, religious zealotry, oppression of any section of the community (except maybe TV evangelists) and also the organizations that exist to promote them.
