NBC Suspends Shuster: Maybe MSNBC Isn't Fox-2

by D. Cupples |  Since my last post, I learned that NBC suspended correspondent David Shuster "from appearing on all NBC News broadcasts, other than to make his apology." (Media Matters via Memeorandum).  While guest hosting MSNBC's Tucker show, Shuster made an at-best-unseemly statement about Chelsea Clinton's work on her mother's presidential campaign, metaphorically linking it to prostitution.

Lately, some MSNBC personalities have shown evidence of bias against Hillary Clinton or toward Barack Obama (TPM noticed it, too).  Our nation already has one Fox "News," and many Americans are tired of media attempts to influence -- instead of merely reporting on -- political matters.  That said,  the Shuster suspension is one step in the right direction.
