Sen. Mel Martinez faces FEC Complaint

Bustcrux_22 The non-partisan group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission alleging that U.S. Sen. Mel Martinez (R-FL) repeatedly violated election laws during his 2004 campaign. Among other things, according to CREW, Martinez took $300,000 + in donations that exceeded the legal limit.

CREW wants the FEC to fine Martinez $800,000, the total amount of the violations.
